Allen Emery Floyd, of Othello, WA died on Thursday, November 30 at Holy Family Hospital in Spokane, WA at the age of 82. He was born on September 12, 1935 in Harrah, WA. To Alfred and Nina (Allen) Floyd.   On June 11, 1955 he married Janet Humes, and together they raised 3 children, Susan, Tim, and Pat.  Allen was in icon in the Othello community as both an owner of Harvest Fresh Produce and an avid supporter of the Othello community. He played an integral role in potato farming in central Washington and nationally throughout his career, finally retiring in March 2016. He and Janet moved to their lovely cabin on Eloika Lake shortly thereafter. His awards and accolades are too numerous to list, but being who he was he wouldn’t want them listed anyway.  His impact and influence on those around him were immeasurable and for those who knew him well, you understand this statement. Allen, (Al, Big Al, Dad, Grandpa) was a truly extraordinary soul, and he will be dearly and completely missed. A celebration of his extraordinary life will be held at Hennessy Funeral Home at 2203 N Division St in Spokane, WA  on Saturday December 9, 2017 at 10am.  Please leave condolence message or memories for the family.
