Craig Caro, AIA, was born in Spokane on September 23, 1964 to Jack and Vi Caro, the youngest of four siblings.  Craig attended North Central High School and graduated from Washington State University (Go Cougs!) with his Bachelor of Architecture degree in 1989.

Craig practiced architecture in Spokane, completing many notable projects throughout the city and abroad.  Craig was well-traveled, working on United States Embassy projects in countries all over the world.

In 2006, Craig met Krista Spilker, and on October 24, 2008, they were married.  Craig and Krista loved to travel, spend time at Priest Lake, and completed a renovation of their South Hill home together.  On September 29, 2011, they were blessed by the arrival of their son, Asher.  Craig was a loving and devoted husband and father.

Craig passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on August 5 at Priest Lake, Idaho, a place he loved deeply.  He had spent the prior week at the lake with his wife and son, in-laws and many family and friends doing all the things he loved: swimming, fishing, playing cards, reading books, playing with the family dogs, Pete and Lou, and enjoying his family.

Craig is survived by his wife Krista and his son Asher; his siblings Steve Caro, Marta Salvage and Mary Jo Evans; his in-laws Tim and Molly Spilker and Kevin and Stefani Spilker; and many nieces and nephews.

Craig was a truly remarkable man and he will be missed dearly.

The Craig Caro Memorial Fund has been established at STCU for those wishing to contribute. 

 A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, August 15th at 12:30PM at St. Al's Catholic Church, 330 E Boone Ave., Spokane, WA  99202.
