DONALD LEROY CLARNO

Don Clarno passed away on February 9, 2017. He was born in Spokane to William Joseph Clarno and Leona Marlowe Clarno on July 11, 1924. Don has two sisters, Geraldine Peirone, deceased, and Eileen Senna. Don attended Gonazaga Prep HS and graduated from Gonzaga University.  He received his college degree after serving in the Army during WWII. Don married Dorothy Bauman August 25, 1949. He retired from the Spokane County Health Department. He also was the Manager of the Personnel at Spokane Arena formerly known as the Coliseum.  He was an avid golfer, hunter and fisherman. He and His wife Dorothy (deceased) have 5 children; Michele Carney (Dan), Nancy Stoeser, Julie Aller (Marshall), Donelle Maher, and Bill Clarno (Janna). He had 11 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Services will be held at Assumption Catholic Thursday February 16, 11am, with lunch following. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Gonzaga Prep’s Fair Share Program.
