I Had the honor of being a combat crew member flying with “Captain Pecchia” on a RB 66 for almost three years at Alconbury Airforce Base in England. We became friends and kept in touch for over fifty years. Gene was a wonderful person who will be missed by his family and friends.

Gene was a fine and decent man and fellow Vietnam pilot. It was a pleasure to have known him in the Guard. He also hunted pheasants on my farm along with Ray Viszotsky. Off to the wild blue yonder my friend. God speed J J Jones

I enjoyed flying with Gene in the Guard. He was the brunt of many jokes, but he was a fine pilot. He will be remembered.
