Irving Oden Mills, age 87, passed away peacefully, Feb 15, 2017 with his family present.  Originally born Irving Oden Randle on Jan 2, 1930 in Eureka, CA.  He is survived by his wife Anne (Sellers) of 53 years, his brother Earle Mills, his two adopted sons, James Mills (Melanie), Don Mills (Lois), daughter Elizabeth Black (Calvin), nine grandchildren, Anya, Reese, Daniel, Rachel, Travis, Justen, Cassidy, Mark, and Caitlyn, and six great-grandchildren.  He graduated from Eureka High School and he received his degree from Humboldt State University.  He was then drafted into the army in 1958, where he did accounting stateside, for the next two years.  This led to his lifelong career in the accounting field as an office controller.  After living in Eugene for a number of years, he and Anne retired to Spokane, WA, where he spent his remaining years.  His loving, patient spirit and laughter will be greatly missed by his family and friends.  A private family service was held at the Cathedral of St John the Evangelist.
