RIELLY, Mary Loretta

Mary was born July 24, 1921 and passed away January 3, 2018.

She was a much loved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who passed away peacefully at the age of 96. Mary was born in Denver, Colorado but resided in Spokane for much of her life. She married William J. Rielly, the love of her life, and they celebrated 61 years together, until he passed away in 2005. Mary was such an inspiration throughout her life to her friends and family. She was a very smart, kind, gentle and generous person who helped everyone. Her faith was very strong and gave her the strength and guidance to live such a wonderful life. Mary raised her four children and began a career as a legal secretary and the coordinator of the Stateman’s Club at the Great Northwest Savings and Loan. During this time she became a skilled porcelain painter. Her hobby created lifelong friendships. Through the years she has shared her art work, on china pieces, as gifts to her family and friends. Mary enjoyed being active and loved going to the symphony and other social engagements. She was a long time member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish. Mary was surrounded and supported by her family, friends and wonderful caregivers who all adored her uplifting, caring and loving personality. Survivors include two sons, Jim Rielly and Rick (Jodi) Rielly; two daughters, Christy Carney and Molly Mathison; four grandchildren, Trina Schroder, Dan Dedomenico, TJ Mathison, Shawn Rielly, Lauren and Caitlin Rielly; four great-grandchildren, Rosko and Winston, Grace, Natalie and Scarlett; and two brothers, Bill and Larry Walsh. A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 12 noon at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division, Spokane, WA. Interment will FOLLOW at Holy Cross Cemetery.
