Patricia Ann “Annie” Pickering

Annie Pickering, 73, passed away peacefully November 11, 2017 in Spokane, WA. She was born on July 14, 1944 in Toledo, OH to Arnold and Josephine Pickering. Annie is survived by her daughter Jenny (Brett) Woodward, son Corey (Brianne) Luthi, brother Paul (Becky) Pickering, her grandchildren Aidan, Parker, Coraline, and Owen Woodward and Colton Luthi, along with three nieces and one nephew. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Gary Pickering. Annie was a 1962 graduate of Devilbliss High School and went on to attend Bowling Green State University. She was a flight attendant for United Airlines for 43 years prior to retirement in 2005. Annie came to Spokane in 2013 to be near family. She spent many years living in Maple Valley, WA as well as Honolulu, HI, and Chicago, Il. Annie was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend to all. She enjoyed nothing more than a great party, a good book, the latest movie, and games with family and friends. More than anything, Annie’s grandchildren were the light of her life. Special thanks to all of Annie’s family and friends who were there to support her through her cancer battle over the past year. She loved each and every one of you. A celebration of life will be held in the months to come. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Ronald McDonald House Charities or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
