Ruth Edith Farline was born in Spokane on November 19, 1923, to Edith H. Miller and Lawrence R. Miller. Ruth went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 29, 2017. She was 93. Ruth always had a positive outlook, and a "can-do" attitude in all things she attempted. Ruth lived in Spokane most of her life; she attended school in Spokane and briefly in Wenatchee, WA, and Billings, MT, as well as working as a switchboard operator in Fairbanks, AK, modeling in Los Angeles, CA and working in a department store in Tucson AZ. In Spokane, Ruth worked in a large dental office for several years. Alone with her mother, Ruth hand built two small homes-- doing all the work themselves. She also volunteered her time often: she campaigned for Ronald Reagan, led a Girl Scout troop, and she found lodging for hundreds of people during Expo 74 when it was thought impossible. Always ready to try something fun, at age 67, she worked in Alaska at a seafood plant, mainly for the adventure. Ruth had hoped to open an antique store at one time and enjoyed collecting many antiques. Her major life change came when she received the gift of eternal life by accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed being part of Christian Womens' Ministries. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Louis A Farline and her sister Louise M. Wood. She is survived by her daughter, Diane P. Brooks, of San Marcos, CA; her son, Bruce A Farline, of Spokane; and three grandchildren, Wm. Eric Sperry, of Forks WA; Stephanie (Patrick) Moore, of San Marcos, CA; Nicholas A. Farline, of Seattle, WA; her nieces, Kristina K. (Richard) Clausen, of Hardin MT; Kathleen L. Scott, and her nephews, William A. Wood; Delbert A. Wood. There will be a family memorial at a later
