Our deepest condolences to all her family. She was such a part of our lives. We bought the feed store and turned it into C&D Jet Mart. We will be forever grateful for all her support and love during this great adventure. We still have the seashell picture she made me showing the 5 doves. What a wonderful woman!

Our deepest sympathy to Veda's family and friends. I have the fondest memories of this unique woman. Her's was a life full of challenges, adventures. She was a delight and always generous to us and our son, Joel, who lived (and still lives) across 11th Street in the brick rancher. Veda never met a stranger and eagerly shared the greatest stories. Joel's dad, Fred, was green's keeper and gardener of Joel's large yard and often spend hours outdoors where he would visit with Veda and occasionally she would enlist him to take her on errands. We often invited Veda to our family gatherings at Joel's, but she seldom accepted holiday invitations as she seemed to have a wide circle of friends and family who offered support. I love the photo you chose to use with this obit. It is exactly how I remember her. We had kept in touch by phone for a year or so after her move from 11th, but we've not heard from her for several years and often would think about her - always with a smile. Whenever I buy asparagus, I remember Veda's advice to "choose the fat ones!"
