William Eugene Ren (79)

William Eugene Ren passed away on September 19, 2017 in Spokane WA, after a courageous battle with Progressive Supranuclear Plasy (PSP). William (Bill) was born September 9, 1938 to Ralph Ren and Marjorie Rupple in Three Forks, Montana.  Bill graduated from Harrison High School. After graduating he married his high school sweetheart Judy Jackson. Bill’s career as a heavy equipment operator took him to Alaska where he worked on many projects including the Alaska Pipeline in Prudhoe Bay and the Park’s Highway. Bill also helped build the Ketchikan Airport on Gravina Island.  He spent many years in Ketchikan where he owned a local service station and later started a small construction company. Bill was known for building beautiful rock retaining walls during his career. Bill and Judy would later move to Spokane, WA where he would finish his construction career and retire in the Spokane Valley. During retirement he enjoyed his large garden and beautiful yard where many family gatherings took place. Bill loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his kids, grandkids and great-grandkids.

William is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Robert (Bob) and Claire Ren. He is survived by his wife Judy of Spokane. Children Cindy (Rod) Maki, Rhonda (Jay) Kingery, Karen (Eric) Taylor, Jason Ren, Corrine (Greg Bailey) Ren.  Grandchildren Timothy (Alissa) Floyd, Toby (Becca) Floyd, Tera Maki, Aubree (Dave) Kline, Cameron (Josh) Sivertsen  Sharayah Taylor, Summer and Autumn Bailey. Great grandchildren Tessla, Trevor, Myleigh, Nevaeh and Carter.

Memorial Services will be Sunday, September 24, 2017 at Millwood Community Presbyterian Church, 3223 N. Marguerite at 3:00 p.m.  Reception to follow in the fellowship hall.
