Alberta was born July 14, 1920 to Albert and Vivian Palmer in Beuna Washington. She
attended high school in Yakima Washington where she met the love of her life Antone Debing. Alberta and Tony were married for 60 years. to visit France. That dream was fulfilled in 2004 when she took a 7 day land tour of France with her
sister Frances. Other travels included a broad trip through Europe, a Tahitian cruise, and trips to Spain, Prague and Budapest. Closer to home, Berta loved going to Seattle Mariners games and proudly wore her personalized Seattle Mariners jersey and jacket even to church on Sundays.
Berta was interested in nursing and was proud of her career, working with Dr. Channing Bowen MD for
approximately 30 years, serving first as his medical assistant and then office manager.
Berta, a woman of wisdom, wit, grace and charm was a generous and thoughtful person to her family,
church and greater community. Her family knew they were loved and always welcome in her home to
