Alice Prekeges

Alice Prekeges (Besas) of Bothell, WA passed away peacefully on July 30th, 2022. She was born in Moscow, ID on October 2, 1937 to parents Thomas and Georgia Besas (from Greece). Alice lived most of her life in Spokane, WA, where she married Gregory Prekeges in 1979. They were both active and devout members of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church for many years; and loved to spend time with family, travel and attend sporting events.  

Alice was a loving daughter, wife, sister, aunt and godmother to many. She will always be remembered for her caring, fun personality; and for the many happy memories she and Uncle Greg created in their home. It was always open to family and friends that they loved to entertain and cook for. Alice especially loved to prepare Greek food and teach other family members how to do that!  May her memory be eternal.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gregory and sister Florence Buehrer. She is survived by her brothers Peter Besas, James Besas (Irene), cousins and numerous nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Funeral services will be held at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church in Spokane on Friday August 12th at 11:00 AM, followed by interment at Holy Trinity Lawn, Riverside Memorial Park. Mercy meal to follow at Holy Trinity. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Spokane, WA.
