Anna Mae Linsley

Anna Mae Linsley, 88 of Spokane, Washington, passed away on January 14, 2021 after a short illness.  She was born in Spokane, Washington, on May 30, 1932.  She graduated from the Holy Names Academy in June 1949.  She married Peter P. Mele in 1958.  Together they raised five children.  She married Thomas R. Linsley on October 19, 1991 and enjoyed 30 years of marriage until Thomas’s death in March 2020.  She worked at both Gonzaga and Whitworth Universities.  Anna Mae had a passion for watching old movies, crocheting, and playing the piano.  She will be deeply missed by those she leaves behind.  The night sky has lost a star.  She is survived by her son Daniel P. Mele (Joan), Daughters Teresa A. Bemel (Rick), Elizabeth M. Mele, Jennifer J. Mele (Joe), and Kimberly Marchant (Jack).  She is survived by her stepchildren Thomas R. Linsley, Jr., Michael A. Linsley (Lorena), and daughter Rosemary J. Jarnegan (Lenny).  She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.  She was proceeded in death by her husband Thomas Linsley, parents Otto and Josephine Raef, brother Harold Raef, and sister Marietta Larkin.  Memorial contributions are suggested to given in support of Catholic Charities of Spokane.  Funeral Services will be on Thursday, January 28 at Hennessy Funeral Home located at 2203 N. Division Street, Spokane, Washington at 11:00 a. m.
