Betty Jean Kuhen

Betty went to be with her Lord and Savior March 31, 2018.  She was born in Browning, Montana September 5, 1933 to Jim and Lizzie Henderson.  She was a proud member of the Blackfeet Tribe.   She was one of 13 children. She was number 12 to be born and number 12 to pass away. Betty was raised on Seville Flats in Montana.  She had many happy memories of growing up and playing outside with Billie, Raysie, and Boots. Betty met the love of her life, Bob Kuhen, on Easter Sunday when she was 15, and life was never the same.  She never went back to Catholic Church after that, but said her prayers every night. Betty was a homemaker and loved her family fiercely.  She was kind and gentle to all.  She loved to play solitaire, work the crosswords, gamble at the Casino and she loved to smoke.  No she never gave it up!  She read two books a week. Betty is preceded in death by her husband Bob in 2006 after 56 ½        years of marriage, her 11 siblings- Brothers; Bud (Leslie), Hucks (Lloyd), Bill, Small (Frank), Henry, Jack and Gary, her sisters; Irene, Dorothy, Pope (Pauline), and Eilena as well as her parents Jim and Lizzie. Bets is survived by her sister and best friend, Thelma Cochran. She leaves behind her six children; Susan Socula, Les (Sally) Kuhen, Rob Card, Vicki Palinuik, Dale Ann Petersen (Dave), Beth Bowen, and 17 grandchildren; Jodie, Tammie, Cole, Donovan, Chad, Katie, Eddie, Sandy, Jennifer, Michelle, Lindsay, Chris, and Lauren.  She is also survived by numerous great-grandchildren.  She was loved by many nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad moved many times through the years and had many adventures.  In the end, their ashes will be joined together for eternity. A Memorial Service will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N Division St., Saturday April 7, 2018 at 2:00 pm, followed by a gathering of friends and family at VFW, 300 W. Mission.
