David Paul "Dave" Nordstrom

It is with broken hearts that we share the loss of David on June 15, 2018.  He was born December 6, 1955 in Lincoln, Nebraska to Paul Richard Nordstrom and Mariann (Nordstrom) Hogin.  They soon moved to Spokane where he grew up.  David had many life-long friends that he still kept close to his heart.  At an early age, he began to play music in his backyard.  Not only did music become his passion, but also his profession and he made a huge impact on the music scene in the Northwest.  He traveled the world with his music, making so many friends and admirers.  He truly was a gifted bass player, singer and songwriter.  He always wanted to be true to his music, never wanting to compromise.  Dave was married to his wife Tina for nearly 35 years, which he joked that is was like 135 in musician years.  They shared great memories and 2 sons, Henry and Hayden, whom he loved more that words can say.  He cherished the time he spent with his family.  He was a great dad, never complaining about diaper changes and staying up with them when they were sick.  He loved all of the field and camping trips, time spent at Priest Lake and the backyard BBQs.  He also gained his beautiful daughter-in-law Sydney whom he adored. He lost a piece of his heart when he lost his son Hayden.  He will be deeply missed by Tina, Henry and Sydney and also by his family members, Paul (Debbie) Nordstrom, Lee Nordstrom, Glen (Jean) Hogin, Jim (Linda) Hogin, Ross (Heather) Hogin, Emma Long, Reny (Lanny) Archer, Richard (Sherri) Long, Peggy (Charlie) Hodge, many nieces and nephews, dear friends and the music community.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 30th at 11 AM at the Turning Point Open Bible Church, 11911 N Division.  Memories and condolences may be shared on this tribute page.
