Tribute

Diane Yeats was born August 2, 1953 in Spokane Washington and passed away July 25, 2022. She graduated from Rogers High School in 1971 and worked at USWest/Qwest for over 3o years. She married Errol Cunningham in 1972 and had two children, Chad and Lesley Cunningham. She enjoyed spending time outdoors camping, snow skiing, playing softball, and working in her flowerbeds. At a young age she developed a love of photography while spending time with her Uncle Leo, at Gonzaga University. One could never spend much time with Diane before the camera came out. She loved the holidays and decorated for each one of them. In her later years Diane loved spending time with her five grandchildren and “the love of her life” Robert “Bob” Knittel. She loved beaches and lighthouses which she enjoyed with her biannual trips to the Oregon coast. Diane was well known for her ability to meet and befriend people everywhere she went. Diane is preceded in death by her Father John Yeats, sister Linda Anastasio, Brother-in-law Brian Anastasio and niece Anna Marie Anastasio. Diane is survived by Robert Knittel; son Chad (Kimberly) Cunningham of Sprague Wa and daughter Lesley (Jeremey) Cunningham of Spokane Valley Wa. Grandchildren Caitlin (Gaberial), Jacob, Brenna, Thomas and Miela. Mother Tressia Yeats and sisters Kathy Yeats and Alisa (Brett) Johnson and nephew Alec Johnson.  As well as too many close friends to count.
