Donald Edward Rosselet

Tribute

Donald Edward Rosselet, 73, of Spokane left us too soon.  He passed unexpectedly of natural causes on the 25 of April. He was born in Seattle, WA on November 24, 1948 to Helen and Alfred Rosselet (predeceased).He attended Gonzaga Prep and graduated in 1967. He played Halfback on the varsity football team for 3 years leading the GSL in yards gained and was All-State in Football and Track. He went on to play for the Spokane Community College football team and won the National Championship in 1968, after which he enlisted in the Marine Corps Reserves. Don Married Diane Woeppel in 1971 and while not remaining married, they were friends throughout their lives, traveling together for family events. Don was a 25-year member of the Teamsters Union and served passionately as a contract negotiator while working at Super Value. During the 80’s and 90’s he enjoyed sailing on Lake Coeur d’Alene, traveling to Sarasota, Florida and remodeling investment properties with his daughter.  He retired at age 55. For his second career, Don became an agent at the Manito Branch of Windermere Real Estate Co. He volunteered in the pediatric wing of the Providence Medical Center, was a member of the BMW Owner’s and Motorcycle Owner’s clubs and road with friends on trips throughout the west. He had a passion for hotrods, vintage cars and BMW motorcycles. He enjoyed planting flowers in the garden, golfing with friends and riding the Centennial Trail. In the summer you would have found Don at Priest Lake making huckleberry pancakes for his grandkids. Don was loyal and devoted to those he cared for, he was our rock and he is deeply missed by all who knew him.  He is survived by his loving daughter Sarah Rosselet, husband Chris Allen and grandchildren Nevada, August, Cormac and Alden; former wife and friend Diane Rosselet; brother Al Rosselet, nieces Kelly (Herb) Hilton and Michelle Rosselet, nephew David (Paula) Rosselet; sister Sue Rosselet, niece Laura (Joe) Morrier, nephew Bob (Tracy) Rosselet; and 14 grandnieces and nephews, and of course,

The Gang of 6. A Celebration of Life will be held at Timbers on Pacific, Thursday May 19 at 4pm, 116 W Pacific Ave Spokane WA 99201.
