Donnajean Maxine Smith

Born November 30, 1928 in Spokane, passed away peacefully December 26, 2021 in her apartment at Riverview Terrace. Donna was a lifetime member of St. Patrick's Parish.  She graduated from Mary Cliff in 1947.  She was married for over 54 years to Vincent A "Smitty" Smith. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years, she worked as the bookkeeper at Boyd-Walker Sewing Co, a family-owned business her dad started in 1926.  Her husband, then son, went on to run the business till 2019.

She was preceded in death by her husband Smitty (2002), son Darrell (2019), her parents Bill & Lillian Boyd, & sister Gerri Schlosser. Donna is survived by daughter-in-law Kathy Smith, daughter Sharon (Alan) West, daughter Sheila (Paul) Cardella, grandkids Michelle Fisher, Cory (Sally) Aalgaard, Eric (Kyra) Cardella, Amy Sigler, Melinda Smith, Emily Smith and 8 great-grandkids.

We offer heartfelt thanks to the staff at Riverview, where Donna enjoyed 5 years of friendships & activities, and Horizon Hospice. A private family gathering will be held at a later date.
