Dustin Eugene "Dusty" Rhodes

In loving memory of Dustin “Dusty” Eugene Rhodes (Age 37) who passed away September 21, 2018 in Bothell, WA.  He was born September 3, 1981 in Spokane, WA.  Dusty is survived by his mother Naomi Rhodes and his father Ross Rhodes; sisters Tawny Rhodes, Jillian Rollis, Sara Rhodes McNaghten, Kristin  Pretorious; and step brother, Brian Wilmoth and step sister Katie Payne; nephew, Chase and niece, Shalyn Anderson; Jake his dog and best friend; aunts, uncles, caretakers, social workers and many cousins.  Dusty was born with a rare genetic disorder named Prader Willi Syndrome that affects many parts of the body.  This disorder made times tough on Dusty, but no matter the struggle, Dusty’s view was never distorted from the world which he saw thru loving eyes.  He believed that everyone he met was his “buddy” and expressed that constantly.  Besides the love of food, family and animals, Dusty had a great love for keys.  Anyone who gave Dusty a key felt the joy of his gratitude as his grinning face would light up and he would walk away, head down, twiddling it in his hands.  Dusty’ s sweet demeanor touched so many people and the loss of his constant smile, enthusiasm and endless love will leave a hole in the hearts of so many.  Dusty’s family will be holding a celebration of his life on Saturday, October 13th at 1PM in the chapel at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N Division.  Memories and condolences may be shared on this tribute page.
