Edward Allen Colgrove, 86, of Spokane, Washington passed away August 5, of complications from COVID at Avalon Care Center. He was born in Columbus, Montana on March 11, 1934. Ed graduated from Charlo High School class of 1955. He was married to Hazel Charters on March 18, 1973 in Great Falls, Montana. Together they raised 2 children and enjoyed 47 years of marriage. Ed worked In food processing for Dairygold and Equity Supply. He was a member of the United Methodist Church of Spokane Valley, and had a passion for all sports and working with puzzles.
Ed was born and raised in Montana. There he enjoyed playing football in high school and later became a great bowler. He met his lovely wife and raised a beautiful family while in Montana. Ed loved a good sports game on TV and enjoyed watching his grandchildren playing sports as well.
Ed was a loving father, husband, brother, uncle and grandfather. He was patient and kind to all those around him and never complained even at the end. His family, friends and caregivers will always know him as a great man who always had a smile on his face and kind words on his lips.
Ed is survived his wife Hazel Colgrove, his daughters Nancy Colgrove and Sandy Nearing, siblings Mary Jane Eldridge, Helen Symington, and Bob Colgrove. Ed also leaves behind 3 grand children Samantha and Ryan Nearing, and Isaiah Colgrove who cherish his loving memory. He is preceded in death by his parents Helen and Roy Colgrove.
