Ellen L Shadowens

“On November 14, 2021 Ellen Shadowens got her wings and went to walk with the angels.  She was 89 years young.  

Born in Nebraska, Ellen's dream was to get married and have children.  When Ellen's children were young, the phrase “stay-at-home-mom” didn’t exist. It was usual for women to stay home with the children while their husbands worked.  She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children and grand children.   Anyone that knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes, and that's all that ever mattered to her.  She cared deeply for her family and friends. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. She was always the first to offer help. And she always ensured that every child who crossed her threshold was safe, healthy, and happy.

Ellen  is survived by her daughters Sharon Gerbino, Sandy Finney, and Gloria Gerhard ,   her son Darold Shadowens  and  10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Ralph and son Ralph Jr. "   Gravesite service to beheld at Spokane Memorial Gardens, 10:30am, Monday November 22, 2021.
