Floyd Robert Nabakowski

Our beloved Dad has gone home to be with his Heavenly Father. We celebrate him home, welcomed by those who have gone before him.

A native Californian, the Air Force took him away on many adventures, to locations overseas and within the United States, where at one point he met and married his wife, our mother.  Continuing to travel with three children in tow, after retirement our parents settled the family into Spokane County in 1974.

He attended SCC, working part time jobs to support his family, landing next at Hanford and Telect.  Retiring from each after lengthy stints of service.  He continued to serve through volunteer programs at S.C.O.P.E., KSPS, Blessings Under the Bridge, Medical Lake Food Bank, and on, and on.  His giving heart never ceased to bless anyone he could assist.  The biggest life lesson he taught:  Give more than what is asked.

Survived by his children, their spouses, grandchildren, great grandchildren; an extended family at Medical Lake Community Church, and friends within the community that welcomed our dad into their hearts along with his beloved Tillie and who also became family to him.  To those who did this for Dad, you gave us many more years with him, and we greatly thank you!

Viewing at Hennessey Funeral Home on May 10, 3 pm to 6 pm.  Service at VA Cemetery on May 11 at 9:45 (come at least 5 minutes early).  Celebration of Life at a future date.
