Frances Garcea (94) entered into rest November 29, 2017.  She was born in Spokane, WA to Frank and Meri (Peri) Rizzuto on July 26, 1923.  She attended St. Patrick Elementary and Rogers High School.  She liked her role as homemaker and mother.  She was known as a great cook and later in life she enjoyed golf and travel.  She married the love of her life, Nick Garcea on August 23, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2009 after 62 years of marriage.  Also preceding her were her parents and a sister, Rose Ressa.  Survivors include a son Gary (Debbie) Garcea,  granddaughter Stacy (Gabe) Leman, a brother Jack Rizzuto, a sister Ann Holcomb and numerous nieces and nephews.  A Funeral Mass was held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.  Entombment took place at Holy Cross Cemetery.  The family would like to express their strong appreciation for the care provided for Frances by the management and staff at Brookdale Senior Living and the Sullivan Park Care Center.  If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association  910 W 5th  Spokane, WA 99202.
