Roberts. Gerald Cletus “Jerry” A truly devoted husband, father and serviceman went to the arms of the Lord and his loving wife April 16, 2017. Born July 12, 1936 to Olen C and Erenstina (Ryall) Roberts in Taos, New Mexico, Jerry learned the art of thoroughbred racehorse training from his father at a young age.  While his father engaged the family in many other business ventures , training racehorses was always a big part of family life, spending time at race tracks from Colorado to Mexico City. It was in college where Jerry met his best friend and true love of his life, Kathy.  They were married July 4, 1963 and began to start their family. They lived in the California area until Jerry joined the Armed Forces, serving in the Airforce for 20 years. In 1972, After a few years at various bases and serving in Vietnam, Jerry was stationed at Fairchild Air Force Base in Spokane Washington,  where he lived until his passing. Jerry was a devoted family man, always taking an active role in his children lives, encouraging their education and sports activities. Jerry is survived by his sisters;  Ruth (John) Wand and  Verline,  daughters Chris (Richard) Toennis of Spokane and Sharon (Rodel) Allado of Chatsworth CA., son, Grady Roberts of Oregon, Grandchildren; Matthew Toennis, Dustin Allado, and Haley Allado, and numerous nieces and nephews. Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Kathy Roberts, his father Olen Roberts, his mother Ernestina Roberts, his brother Albert Roberts. A Rosary will be held Friday April 21, 2017 at 6pm at Hennessey Funeral Home on Division St..  Mass on April 22, 2017 at 11am at St. Charles Parish.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Spokane Humane Society, 6607 N.
