Gloria “gg” Leilani Emtman, 83 of Spokane, was taken to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, February 12, 2021. She is survived by her former husband, Robert Emtman of Spokane, two children, Gary Emtman of Spokane, WA and Linda Emtman of Danville, CA; grandchildren Alicia and Erin Yoshino of Danville CA. GG found great joy in her family and she could often be found spending summer days with them at Lake Coeur d'Alene reading a good book. She had a dazzling smile a quick wit and loved the beauty of nature.
GG was born Scofield Barracks Hawaii on April 20, 1937 and returned to the Hawaiian Islands on many vacations, she loved to explore the world and travelled extensively throughout her life. She graduated Lewis and Clark High school in Spokane and went on to receive her nursing degree from Emmanuel School of Nursing in Portland, OR. In later life, she received her realtors license and worked as a real estate professional for 12 years.
GG had a beautiful voice and sang in her school and church choirs throughout her life. Her core belief was her Christian faith and her commitment to Jesus Christ. She studied the Bible extensively and taught the Bethel Series to various Bible Study groups. She was the spiritual leader of her family and they are comforted to know that she is in Heaven.
GG was laid to rest at Moran Prairie Cemetery during private family gathering.
