Gregory Gerald Jones

Gregory Gerald Jones (Greg) was born on February 15, 1965, in Spokane, Washington to Gerald and Trudy Jones. Greg passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on September 14, 2021. He was 56 years old.

Greg grew up in Chattaroy, WA and graduated from Gonzaga Prep in 1983, shortly thereafter, he moved to Alaska to work in HVAC. In 1988, he joined the Peace Corp where he spent time in Cameroon, Africa. After the Peace Corp, Greg moved to Seattle, later graduating from Seattle University in 1990. In 1991 Greg met Tina, fell in love, and married in 1993, starting a family in 1996. Greg continued his education, graduating from Gonzaga University of Law in 1998. After graduation, he moved back to Seattle with his family to start his law career. In 2002, Greg and Tina moved back to Spokane to raise their children.

Greg is survived by his wife of 28 years, Tina, his children Zachary, Jacob, and Hanna Jones, parents Jerry and Trudy Jones, siblings Kevin (Deanna) Jones, Scott (Denise) Jones, Rick (Carie) Jones, Tami (Dave) Ressa and Tricia (Andy) McCandless, sister-in-law Jennifer (Todd) Nacke, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Greg was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Irene Jones, Tom and Gertie Kassa, and in-laws, Tom and Elaine Johnson.

Greg was known for his love of flannel, his quick wit, sense of humor and selflessness. He was insightful and wise beyond his years, always teaching and encouraging people to be the best versions of themselves. Greg was an avid golfer and fiercely loved those who he called family and friends. His tenacious spirit will be sorely missed. One last piece of wisdom from Greg:
