Hugh Virgil Mullane

December 30, 1952 ~ June 5, 2022 (age 69) 69 Years Old

Chip passed away June 5, 2022 in Spokane, Washington after a short illness. He was born December 30, 1952 in West Palm Beach, Florida to Hugh and Marjorie Mullane the fourth of eventually six children.

The family moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1956 where Chip was raised. He attended St. Pius X High School before transferring to Sandia High School, graduating in 1970.

After graduation he enlisted in the US Air Force, retiring in Spokane, Washington after 20 years of service as a Master Sergeant working as a nuclear weapons Specialist. After retiring he attended Eastern Washington University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources. He worked for many years at Lydig Construction eventually retiring again.

He met and married Elaine Taylor in Spokane, they were together 22 years until her passing.
In 2007 he married Sue Pividor and they had just celebrated their 15-year anniversary on May 2nd 2022. Chip will always be the love of Sue’s life.

He was predeceased by his parents and brother Patrick. He is survived by his wife Sue, stepsons Ryan Mullane and James Rosencrans, grandson Ash Rosencrans, step daughter Kimberly Akins, brothers Tim, Mike and Mark, and sister Kathy Linhoff.

He was a loving husband, step-father and brother. A kind, caring, thoughtful person and a good listener greatly respected by his friends, family and work colleagues. He loved RVing and camping regardless of the weather or time of year.
