Jacqueline Mary Cassis

Jackie was born August 18, 1930 in Polson, MT and at age 10 moved to Spokane with her mother and stepfather Ione and Claude Rogers. She graduated from North Central High School in 1948 and then went to work as a secretary at Kaiser Trentwood until she married Tome Cassis in 1952. She worked alongside her husband in his law office as a legal secretary until in 1994 they retired. Jackie then enjoyed her retirement golfing at Wandermere, spoiling and loving her grandchildren, fishing and boating at Lake Roosevelt, traveling the country and the world with Tom. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years. She was a faithful member of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church where she sang beautifully in the choir for over 50 years. Jackie is survived by her children Denise Cassis, Tom Cassis (Jan), brother Hoyt DeMers and sister Kay DeMers Hale, grandchildren Nick Smith, Josie Mason (Erik), Jon Cassis, Alex Cassis. Great grandchildren Harmony, Alivia and Cecelia. She was loved by all and we will miss her sweet nature and pretty smile. Memorial contributions are suggested in Jackie’s name to the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church. Funeral services will be held at 1:00, Wednesday, May 16, 2018, at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
