James Allen Burns

James Allen Burns was born on a Friday, January 09, 1948 at 11:58pm. I asked him how he knew this, and he would not tell me. His Father, Mother, and his Sister as well as Jim were all born at Sacred Heart Hospital. His first Communion was April 24, 1955. He was confirmed on May 03, 1961. The following year Jim graduated from St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School on May 28, 1962. Jim Graduated from Ballard High School in June 10, 1967 in Seattle, Washington.

He worked at the Post Office from May 17, 1969 until April 24, 1986. He returned to Spokane in May of 1987. On March 31, 1991 he returned to the Traditional Latin Mass in Post Falls, Idaho. Sometime in 1992 Jim joined the Holy Name Society and began to usher quite often. Toward the middle of 2008, Jim was forced to bow out of ushering due to the degenerating arthritis in his right knee. On October 11, 2002, he began his Postulancy in the Third Order of S.S.P.X, one year later he took the profession as a full member of the S.S.P.X 3rd order. He thoroughly appreciated the Ignation retreats for the Silence and Serenity.
