James Buckley Nelson

The time has come to for us to honor James Buckley Nelson as he makes the journey from earth to his forever home with Jesus.  Jim passed away unexpectedly at his home, on October 18th of natural causes at the age of 53.  He was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 7 which was a contributing factor to health difficulties throughout his life.  

My brother, Jimmy, AKA: James, Jim, Buck, Buckie,  was born on October 4th, 1966. His parents Jim and Lois were so happy to have a son to complete their family of three daughters.  They resided in north Spokane where Jimmy attended Westview elementary school from 1973-1979. 

From 1979-1982 Jimmy lived in Northern Idaho with mom and me- our parents had divorced several years previous- until he came back to Spokane and lived with our grandparents Cliff and Ella Swan.  He attended Mead High School and graduated in 1985.

Jim's hobbies were riding and working on bicycles,  he enjoyed nature and hunting,  he always had a pet dog or cat, he was a master tinkerer who loved working in his shop and in the yard and fixing things around the house, he also would spend time with friends and playing his video games.

The past several years he lived with our mother and worked hard keeping up the house and yard and caring for our aging mom.

Jim will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed until we meet again in Heaven by his surviving parents James A. Nelson and Lois Nelson, sisters Kim, Lori (Warren), Merri (Glen), several nieces and nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins and friends.

There will be a memorial service and reception on Sunday, November 3rd at 2:00 PM at Timberview Church, 15511 N. Howe Rd. Mead, WA. 99021.
