Jill Marie Whitbread (Frostad) went home to the Lord our God peacefully on February 6, 2018 while being held closely in the arms of her loving husband Jimmy.  Jill had a most tender and kind heart and would do anything, anytime for her family and friends.  She loved her family second only to her love for Christ.  Jill devoted her life to service for her family and church.  Her numerous flower gardens yielded some of the most beautiful of her creations and were a mirror of her soul.  Scrapbooking was also a passion of Jill especially because it captured our family in pictures and was an activity shared with her daughters and friends.

Jill was born in Seattle, Washington on October 1, 1964 to Alvin and Deanna Frostad.  She spent her early years travelling with her doctor dad who was an officer in the U.S. Army.  The Frostad family deployed to West Point, NY, El Paso, TX and Honolulu, HI before settling down in Pullman, WA.  Jill attended primary and secondary school in Pullman graduating from Pullman High School in 1982.  In the fall of ’82 Jill enrolled at Whitworth College in Spokane, WA.  There in the second semester of her freshman year she met and began dating Jim Whitbread.  Jill and Jim were engaged to be married in the fall of Jill’s Sophomore year and married on July 28, 1984.  Following completion of her nursing degree and attainment of her professional license as an Registered Nurse Jill worked at Palouse Hills Nursing Home while Jim completed graduate school at the U of Idaho.  In 1989 Jill gave birth to our first child, Tiffany Koreen, and began her career as mom which gave her complete fulfilment.  In 1991 our second child Erin Nicole was born followed by our third and last child, James Joseph, Jr.  Through the different moves associated with Jim’s career, Jill steered our children through these changes and kept our family close and cohesive.  Most of the children’s lives were spent growing up in Colville, WA in a loving and safe home.  In 2014 our youngest child James graduated high school.  About that time Jill started to show signs of the hideous disease that would ultimately take her life, Alzheimer’s.  In a way it seems Jill knew something wasn’t right but she held on and expended her last bits of energy to see our children through to adulthood before she would relent to the disease.  She gave everything of herself to see her life’s work through.  We will miss her so very much.

Jill is survived by her husband Jim, daughter Tiffany, husband Jaron (Robinson) and grandson Vernon, daughter Erin and husband Ben (Pinkham), son James Joseph, Jr., parents Alvin and Deanna Frostad, sister Kim and husband Tim (Holmstrom), brothers Michael and wife Lauren (Frostad) and brother David Frostad.
