Dr. Ames was such a neat person. I met him at F.A.F.B where I signed up for a dental course. I enjoyed working with and learning from him. He made everything exciting.
I am very sorry for your loss. I was so sad to hear he passed away. May God bless you and your family.

Katie, I wanted to let you know how sorry I was to hear about the passing of Dr. Ames (what I've always called him)!
I always thought of him as invincible and used to compare him to James Bond as he did it all and lived life to the fullest! He was truly devoted to his patients and those he worked with. I will never forget him calling my plastic surgeon prior to my own surgery to ensure I was well taken care of as it meant so much to me during that difficult time in my life!
I had the privilege of assisting him when he worked out at the base and used to laugh as he was always drinking Dr. Pepper and eating baker's chocolate squares. I remember this time so fondly and appreciate all he did for the Airmen at Fairchild Air Force Base.
He did so much for so many and will truly be missed! My thoughts and prayers are with you and the boys during this difficult time.
