Joseph Allan Strang

Joseph Allan Strang, age 47, passed away on August 30th, 2018. Joe was born on June 28th, 1971 in Spokane, WA to Fred and Diana Strang. He graduated from Mead High School in 1989, then went on to graduate from SCC with a degree in nursing. His career in nursing led him to working at Avalon Health Care for the past 15 years, where he was able to touch the lives of many residents, families and coworkers. Joe loved Gonzaga Basketball and did his best to never miss a home game. He loved spending time on the boat at Deer Lake with the kids, Dave Matthew’s Band, playing guitar, watching outdoor adventure shows, spending holidays at home and smoking meat on his Traeger. Joe was a very loving loyal man with a kind and compassionate spirit. He was loved by his family and friends and will be missed dearly by all of us. Joe is preceded in death by his father Fred. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Brook, his children, Raurie and Rylan, whom he loved with all his heart, mother Diana Strang (Dan Leichtnam), sister Barbara (Brad) White, nephews Adam and Emmett, nieces Carissa and Emily, brother Bill (Lisa) Steward, niece Autumn, sister JoAnn (Les) Stearns, nieces Tanya and Cyndi. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 15th, 2018 at 3PM at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N. Division in Spokane. Gonzaga attire encouraged. A Celebration of Joe’s life to follow service at a separate location.
