Kari Anna Green

March 6, 1957 ~ June 4, 2018 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Tribute

GREEN, Kari Anna, age 61, went to Our Lord in Heaven Monday June 4, 2018 after a pedestrian vs. automobile accident while in a crosswalk in downtown Spokane. Born March 6, 1957 in Seattle WA, she was raised in Anchorage AK and graduated from West Anchorage High School in 1975.  Kari was a firecracker of a woman who lived fully and smiled often. She raised three children, Jacob, Luke and Ali, with her husband Joe, and did so with a sense of pride and a ridiculous sense of humor. Kari was most at home surrounded by her friends and family, with a glass of wine in her hand and a story worth telling at least twelve times. Along with Joe, Kari became a globetrotting traveler, expanding her boundaries and making new friends everywhere she went. There was never a person she couldn’t make a friend or a house she couldn’t make a home. Constantly in motion, Kari loved walking and she never stopped talking. A pillar of support, her family knew her to be an angel and there wasn’t a person she knew who couldn’t find comfort in her friendship. There was a constant smile in her eyes as she lived her life the best way possible. She took great pride in the family that she and her husband raised. Her family knows that, instead of mourning her, she would want everyone to keep smiling and live life the best way possible. “Keep the Wine Flowing” Kari is survived by her husband Joseph, sons Jacob and Luke, daughter Ali Green; sister Jill (Mike) Lyman, and her brothers Matt VanNortwick and Dan (Lora) VanNortwick. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph & Ann VanNortwick.
