Kathleen Mary Bates

It is with great sadness that Kathleen (Kathy) Mary (Jones) Bates, 78, passed away on April 28, 2022, at Sacred Heart Hospital in Spokane, Washington. She was born on February 24, 1944 in Long Beach, California to Leonard and Mary (Ruerup) Jones. Kathy is survived by her three children Vickie (Peter), Anthony (Cathy), and Kimberly (Jerald). She will also be fondly remembered by her six grandchildren Alexander, Lacie (Joshua), Nicholas, Thomas, Joshua, and Thaddeus. She also had four great grandchildren Nathaniel, Guinevere, Jeremiah, and Cordelia. Kathy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Mick; her father Leonard Jones, and mother Mary (Ruerup) Lee.

A viewing will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N Division St, Spokane, WA 99207, on May 13, 2022, from 3 pm to 5 pm. A Rosary service will be held after the viewing from 5 pm to 6 pm at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday May 14, 2022, at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Parish, 219 E Rockwood Blvd, Spokane, WA 99202. A reception to follow at the church.

Kathy will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a good friend.
