KATRINA “KATIE” MARIE PFIFFNER

Katie was born in Texas on December 22, 1956 to Roberta and Jim Martin. She left Texas, at a very young age, when her mother took her, and her two older sisters, to Reno. There, her mother married, Tom Anderson whom adopted the three girls. Katie was educated in Reno and in 1976 toured around the United States. She married Greg Mosey and that union produced two girls. The marriage didn’t work out so Katie moved to Spokane (where Tom had moved after a divorce from Katie’s mother). In Spokane, Katie worked many jobs, including several positions at Spokane Transit. She met and married a bus driver named Dennis Allan. After Dennis passed away she met and married Dave Pfiffner, who was also a bus driver for Spokane Transit. This marriage lasted 18 years until her death on September 19, 2017. They had one daughter, Emma. Emma was the “greatest joy of her life.” Katie will be greatly missed by Emma and Dave and all her friends.

Katie was a unique person; being able to talk to anyone she met, making many friends. She liked to do things with her hands and built many things around her home. Katie was a hard worker and would work more than one job if necessary. Katie was a wonderful person, taken from Emma and Dave far too soon, but they will endure with her light guiding them.

Katie was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. Hennessey Funeral Home & Crematory entrusted with serving the family. Per Katie’s wishes, there will be no services.
