Kenneth Marvin Storhaug was born May 9, 1920, in rural Alkabo, North Dakota to John and Inga (Gulbranson) Storhaug of Alkabo.

Kenneth attended Writing Rock School in rural Writing Rock township.

He married Grace Sandvold of Hanks, North Dakota on April 26, 1943, and they resided at his farm in Sioux Trail township.

Grace and Kenneth operated that farm and raised five boys and lived there until 1979 when they moved to Grenora, North Dakota. They later moved to Williston, North Dakota in 1993. After the death of his wife, Grace, Kenneth moved to Spokane, Washington in 2013.

Kenneth spent 75 years doing what he loved, farming. He left farming only to take care of the love of his life, his wife Grace, when she became ill. This act of unselfish love was an example to his family that they will never forgot. Kenneth loved the challenges and rewards of being a farmer.  Due to a serious back injury, and the subsequent chronic pain from that injury, Kenneth was eager to find the latest innovations in farming to make farming easier, and more productive. His devotion to farming taught his sons the importance of hard work, persistence, and to never give up. His favorite saying was, “How hard can it be? Let’s figure it out, and get it done.”

Kenneth is survived by his sons, David and his wife Jan of Bismarck, North Dakota, Dennis and his wife Patricia of Littleton, Colorado, Leslie and his wife Nancy of Yorktown, Virginia, and Jerry and his wife Yvonne of Spokane, Washington, and by 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Grace, their infant daughter, Carol Ann; and by their son, Steve and his wife, Terry, who operated the family farm.
