Larry Martin Anderson

     Our beloved father, husband, brother and grandfather passed away on September 13th, 2018 at the age of 71.  Larry was born in Spokane, Washington on August 12, 1947.  He graduated from Mead High School in 1966.  Upon graduation, Larry joined Local 82 Insulators, working in the field and traveling in the Northwest working for such companies as E J Bartells, Owens Corning Fiber Glass and Performance Contracting as an industrial insulator.  He finished his career as co-owner and co-operator of Anderson’s Mechanical Insulators.

     Larry is survived by his wife of 52 years; his junior high sweetheart, Sally Anderson (Kyle).  They have both dedicated their lives to raising three children; Lee Anderson, Lori Reed and Kim (JT) Withrow.  He wholeheartedly adored his 3 beautiful grandchildren; Erica, Sophia, Claire and great-grandchildren; Nathan and Olivia.  He is also survived by his sister, Lynn (Dale) Vig and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

     Larry grew up racing cars and motorcycles, snowmobiling, playing hockey and enjoying the privilege of being crew chief and mentor for his many friends on the automotive race circuit.  He loved talking about the years he and his father hunted deer and elk.  Larry raised his family with adventure; whether it be on the motor cross track or camping with family and friends.  Those with the fortune of knowing him well, knew he was always the first to volunteer his tools, equipment and services and eagerly provide a helping hand.

     Thank you for your guidance, love and support through the years.  You leave us with fond memories and funny stories.  We love you very much and know you will be watching over us.

     Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Barbara (Bobbee) and Leon Anderson and his brother Lee Anderson.

     A memorial service will be held at Hennessey Valley Funeral Home, 1315 N Pines Road, Spokane Valley, WA  99206, on Saturday, September 29th 2018 at 3pm.  Friends and family are welcome to join us for a reception following the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Diabetes Association.
