Gonwick, Larry Reuben SR.
Our dear father passed away peacefully in his sleep January 7th, 2018. Larry was born July 5th, 1942 to Vernon and H. Marion Stenerson Gonwick. He went to Stevens Elementary and Lewis and Clark High School. Larry married Patricia Ann Morden in 1962 and went right to work at the Spokane Flour Mill. When the Four Mill closed for Expo ’74 he went to work for Centennial Mills. During a layoff period Dad delivered fuel oil part time before eventually returning to work at the Flour Mill until his retirement in June 2016. Larry is survived by his 4 children – Larry Gonwick Jr (Bainbridge Island, WA) Lonnie Gonwick, Shannon Arcuri, Gary Gonwick (All of Spokane) and special adopted daughter Jennee Pool. He is also survived by his sisters, Sandy Eldred and Melody Malek (Dwayne) and several sisters in law. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Pam, brother Richard, Sister Diane, and brothers in law Roger Eldred and Bob Morden of Spokane as well as several in laws that resided in other cities and states. Grandpa always has a smile for his grandchildren –Christopher, Melissa, Halle, Matthew, Kelsey, Boyer, McKenzie, Austin, Dawson, Landry, Caitlyn, Timothy, Emily and two great granddaughters Katherine & Madeline. Dad enjoyed simple things- like mowing the lawn, reading the newspaper with a cup of coffee and a smoke, going out to breakfast, having a peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwich, and taking an afternoon nap. He loved and cherished his family and was truly a fine husband; father, brother, son and man. Good to his word always giving unconditionally. Pops lived an honest life filled with integrity and righteousness and strong moral principle. Always fair-saw only the goodness in people.
