Margaret Hamen Coppinger passed away September 19, 2017 in Spokane, WA.  She was born in Moscow, ID to Albert & Frances Hamen on April 16, 1925.  Margaret graduated from Lewis & Clark High School and attended Kinman Business School.  On June 13, 1945 she married Norman Coppinger and their marriage lasted 55 years until Norman’s passing.  They had two daughters, Fran (Jerry) Rumsey and Norma Maurer, and were blessed with three grandchildren, Christine (Brian) Murphy, Jeffrey (Paloma) Rumsey and LeAnne Maurer as well as four great-grandchildren, Braedan, Brennan, Ella and Zander.  Margaret worked for Great Northern/Burlington Northern Railroad for 34 years before retiring in 1985.  She loved to shop and also to do volunteer work.   Margaret will be remembered for her work with RSVP and the MS Society.  She loved to travel and often went with a group from Corbin Senior Activity Center.  Donations in her memory may be sent to Horizon Hospice, 123 W Cascade Way, Spokane, WA  99208.
