MaryAnn Sells passed away peacefully at home in Spokane, Washington on May 7, 2018. She was born in Spokane on July 9th, 1933 to Helen and Joe Santorsola and was the second of three children. She graduated from North Central High school in 1952 where she was a member of the north Central News Staff were she won a state wide award for writing. Mary Ann was employed as an elevator operator at Hyde Building. She loved and took pride in her job and greeted passengers with a warm smile and friendly conversation. She met her husband Richard Sells and married him on August 24th 1963. She was the love of his life. They regularly enjoyed their travels to Reno and were married for 47 years until his passing.
MaryAnn also served her community as a school crossing guard for many years and was well known to children whom she protected. Mary Ann was a devoted catholic and member of St. Aloysius church. Mary Ann was proud of her Italian heritage and always welcoming to friends and family. She was a kind and generous person who will be missed and remembered by her family and friends. She is survived by her brother Jim Santorsola and sister Kathy Heffernan and numerous nieces and nephews. The rosary will be on May 15 at 1030 am at St. Aloysius Church with services proceeding at 11 am. Donations in her memory may be made to Shriners Hospital.
