It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Joseph Gorder. Mike was born at Fairchild Air Force Base on July 29, 1954 to Bud (Edward) and Sally Gorder. He was a master mechanic, paint and body man. His last years were spent working with friend and business partner, Ray McElfish at Ray’s Custom Auto Shop built by Mike from the ground up. His early passion was auto racing following his father into the sport first with Stock Cars and then Super modified racing with CAMRA (Canadian American Modified Racing Association.) Despite a debilitating illness, Mike never complained and worked harder than most men half his age. Family came first and he gave of himself tirelessly and was working up until the day he died. He left behind a large family; his mother Sally and favorite puzzle partner; his wife of 22 years, Adrienne Wallace Gorder, his children whom he was so proud of; Brian, Jamie, Magen, Breianna, Joshua, Destiny and Kyla. His 7 grandchildren. Sisters; Kathi, Annette and Danelle. And too many nieces and nephews to list, friends and work buddies. Mike relished the special relationships he had with his kids and grandkids. So many projects and plans left undone. Mike had a strong belief in the Lord. It gives us great comfort to imagine Mike is up in heaven breathing free and out of pain. He is preceded in death by his father, Bud Gorder. You are loved and will be missed.
