Owen James Ferguson

Owen James Ferguson age 86 of The Bronx, NY passed away September 14, 2019 after complications of stroke at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, WA. He was born a twin on June 10, 1933 to Thomas and Mary Ferguson. He married Juleann Wentz July 3, 1954. Together they had 3 children and enjoyed 52 years of marriage. Owen had many careers and worked very hard to support his family as well as support others. He retired after working as a stationary engineer at Lehman College in The Bronx. He was a faithful member of St. Thomas More Parish. He had a passion for trains, steam engines and anything locomotive. He was a very humble man and passionately cared for his family. He was adored by all those he came in contact with. He had friends and was well-liked by many in his community.

He is survived by his daughter, Julia Trostel, his grandchildren, Candi Andrews and her husband Richard, Paul Thornton and Melanie Albo and his great grandchildren, Nathanael and Audrey Andrews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juelann and children James and Agnes Ferguson.

A visitation and rosary service will be held from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on September 17, 2019 at St. Thomas More Church, 515 West St. Thomas More Way in Spokane, WA. Funeral Mass will be held at 2:00 pm September 18, 2019 also at St. Thomas More Church. Internment will take place at Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY.
