Patty was a loving woman dedicated to her husband of 44 years, Leo Schumacher. They enjoyed their life together and depended on each other for love and comfort. Where you would find one, you would find the other. Patty had a passion for bowling, which she started while in high school. She was a member of the 300 club and the 600 club and bowled as high as 290. Her large collection of trophies proved her skills. She loved the tournaments and made trips to Las Vegas for scratch bowling. Patty and Leo took their Catholic faith seriously and attended church at St. Xavier every Sunday. Though kind and gentle she could also be very stubborn, she usually got her way. Patty loved family gatherings and took pride in her contributions to any meal. Patty is survived by her brother, Jim Heffernan and preceded in death by her sister Mary, brothers, John, Dennis, and David. Born in Williston, N. D., coincidentally Leo was born in Dodge, N.D., less than 100 miles away. Patty attended Holy Names Academy and Kinman Business University. She worked in the banking industry for over 30 years. Patty had a beautiful smile and loved to laugh. We could find her sitting on the edge of her chair enjoying conversations. She always greeted loved ones with a good hug, and again, with that beautiful smile. Patty loved her family, and everyone loved Patty, she will be missed forever. A viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by Funeral Mass at 11:00 am, Saturday, December 4, 2021, at St Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 545 E Providence, Spokane, Washington.
