Pius James Brickner “Jim” passed away Friday February 2, 2018 in Spokane. He was the youngest of 15 children. Jim had a wonderful life with many special friends that his family has great appreciation for. He served in the U.S. Navy where he played basketball for the navy team. After being discharged Jim became a Brick Mason, A craft he enjoyed his entire life. He was more of an artist than a bricklayer. He was an avid golfer and a great family man, and always a Zag fan. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Sara “Sally” Brickner. He is survived by his sons; Terry (Carol) of Auburn, David, and Jamie (Lori) of Colbert, his daughters Julie (Ken) Treadwell of Liberty Lake and Joannie (Pat) Larive of Spokane. He is also survived by his 8 grandchildren Randy (Amy) Treadwell, Cory Treadwell, Joey (Chelsea) Brickner, and Nikki, Zack, Katie, Danielle, and Michelle Brickner, and one great-grandchild Evie Treadwell. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held at Hennessey Funeral home on Division on Wednesday February 7 at 10:00 Am, Burial will follow at 12:00 at Holy Cross Cemetery.
