Renzo Ongarato passed away June 1, 2017 at Sullivan Park Care Center where he had lived the past six years.  He was born to Rina and Peter Ongarato who were Italian immigrants.  Renzo graduated from Gonzaga Prep and then joined the Army serving in WWII.  The family was known for their greenhouses which they operated for many years.  Renzo worked there with his family.  He is survived by one niece and one nephew and close friends Patricia McCartney and Karl Shepherd.  A funeral service will be held at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N Division on Wednesday, June 7th at 2PM.  Entombment will follow later at Holy Cross Cemetery.  Special thanks to Sullivan Park Care Center for the kindness they offered Renzo.
