Rita Flippen

Rita Glatt – Flippen, after spending 74 precious years with us, passed in her sleep on May 27th, 2021. She went on to be with her mom and dad, Kathrine and Adam Glatt. While with us, Rita was loved and appreciated for the amazingly kind and thoughtful daughter, sister, MOM, auntie, and friend she was. She was a proud graduate of Holy Names Academy, a Pharmacy tech retiree, and her most valued achievement – receiving her M.O.M. award we, her three kids, bestowed upon her for being the best, most hard-working, devoted, and loving mom she could be. She also delighted in spending time with her 5 grand and 2 great - grandchildren. Our mom, Rita, hustled her little feet around constantly multitasking. Anyone who had the fortune to know her would agree that she is a hero in her own right who brought love, gifts, talents, definitely food, and unmatched energy to anyone who needed her - and although she never served a day in the military - if anyone asked how she did it all…after making sure they had a plate of meatballs, she would simply reply, “just a little trick I learned in the army”, leaving everyone smiling!
 

A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, June 4, 2021 at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N Division St, Spokane, Washington.
