Tribute

On the morning of Sunday October 31st, 2021, Roberta Louise Collingwood(Finch) went to be with the Lord. She was 80 years old. Born on November 7th, 1940 in Clarkston, Washington to Robert and Etha Finch, Roberta was a beautiful person inside and out. She lived most of her life in Spokane, Washington, and the people who got to know her would say she was a hard worker who loved family, friends, traveling and life itself. She was a strong independent woman who loved to laugh, spend time with her grandbabies and enjoy the spoils of the life she created.

Roberta spent most of her life serving others as an office assistant in a retirement facility. Her smile would brighten anyone’s day. Bringing happiness to others was a passion. She retired at the age of 62. Later in her life she sold her house and moved to Bellingham, Washington. As most do, she tried the snow bird life. During the winters, she flocked to Palm Desert, California and enjoyed a few seasons of 5 o’clock hors d’oeuvres, wine nights and golf with friends. In the later part of her 70’s she was able to soak in the serenity of wine country in Walla Walla before moving back to Spokane to be with her family.

Roberta was preceded in death by one sister (Peggy Mason), three brothers (Nolan Finch, Kenneth Finch and Richard Finch). She is survived by her two brothers (Ralph Finch and Dan Finch), three daughters [Debbie Pullen of Spokane, Kippy Stafford(Randy) of Newport and Lisa Anderson(Troy) of Chewelah]. She was blessed with eight beautiful grandchildren and eight great grandchildren whom she loved immensely.

Gone but not forgotten, she lived a fulfilling and wonderful life. Her gorgeous soul, may she rest in peace, will be greatly missed by all.

There will be a Celebration of Life held in the late spring for those who wish to join us. Details to follow.
