“Know that I love you very much!” ~ Sharon

Our beloved mother, Sharon Leone Seale, passed from this life to eternity on April 23, 2021, in her hometown of Spokane, Washington, exactly one month after her 84th birthday.  She had spent her last four years at Cornerstone Court, an adult care home, where she received devoted care and attention. Her children had gathered and were there at her bedside, praying with and for Sharon in her final days, and even as she breathed her last.  

Sharon was born in Poplar, Montana on March 23, 1937, the third child of Stephen and Leone (Betty) Martell.  After her parents separated, the children moved with their mother to the Northwest which became Sharon’s permanent home.  It was in Portland, Oregon that she met Bill Seale, a navy man in port, whom she fell in love with and married.  Sharon and Bill were blessed with ten children who were her greatest pride and joy in life.

Her first profession was being a wife and mother, but later in life Sharon worked at Silk Greenhouse and then at Michael’s craft store. She loved her faith, she loved children, animals, rain, country music, cooking, crocheting, game shows, painting, statue repair, and volunteering time at the Church.

Sharon is survived by eight of her ten children: Sister Clare Marie, SMDG (Jeri Lynn), Sister Francis Marie, FMMS (little Sharon), Mary Antonia (Joanne Renee), Kristi Noel Klabenes, Stephen Joseph, Sean Anthony, Timothy David, and Francis Dominic. Her husband Bill, her daughter Joni Terese, and her eldest son Billy, preceded her in death. She leaves 23 beautiful grandchildren and a growing number of great grandchildren. Sharon is also survived by her brothers, Dale Martell, Ronald Martell, and Wallace (Rob) Chin.

Sharon made the world a better place through her constant charity, great sense of humor, deep faith, and the love she showed to all around her.

A Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm, Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Mount Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church, 8500 N. St. Michael's Rd., Spokane, Washington. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Thursday, April 29, 2021 at Mount Saint Michael Roman Catholic Church. Please check back for the formal obituary.
