S. Boyd Alcorn

Sherman Boyd Alcorn passed away at Holy Family Hospital Sunday afternoon July 27th, 2021. He spent his last hours in comfort with his son, Russell Dean Alcorn and longtime love, Reda Andrews at his bedside. Boyd was born in Shelby Montana on March 11, 1940 to Sherman and Barbara Rawson Alcorn. He moved to Spokane in 1968.  He worked at IBM and then branched out too many different ventures until retiring from Aerostar in 1995. Everyone who knew Boyd commented on how much they liked him and how personable he was. He especially enjoyed dancing on Saturday nights with his love, Reda and friends. He also enjoyed going for coffee with his dear friends every day.  He was preceded in death by his father, mother and son, Rodney Dale Alcorn. He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Diane Alcorn, Virginia, son, Russell Dean Alcorn and wife Tracy, Ohio, his grandchildren, Shelby and Jesse Alcorn, Montana, and Reda Andrews, his lifetime sweetheart, lives in Spokane. He will be truly missed. A Viewing will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Hennessey Funeral Home, 2203 N Division St, Spokane, Washington. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Hennessey Funeral Home.
